Something that was kind of fun on the way down to the farm was that we had to cross the Sunshine Skyway bridge to get there. For those of you who aren’t familiar with it the bridge is 5.5 miles long connecting Pinellas county and Manatee county. Driving over this bridge is quite an experience as the clearance underneath is 193 feet. I was joking with H2 about the fact I didn’t believe cruise ships could really fit underneath the bridge despite its size.
Irony being what it is what do you think happened on the way back home…you guessed it, the cruise ships were on their way out. The other funny thing is this ship is the Carnival Legend, the very same ship Heather and I sailed on last September. I guess in the land of Disney it really is a small world afterall.
- This doesn’t look good
- Here it comes
- Okay we are up pretty darn high
- This is a 963ft long ship with 12 decks holding 3054 passengers and crew
- Crazy
- There it goes
So I guess my skepticism was unfounded, there was a second ship behind this one.
The dogs literally have been exhausted for two days. It may be in part because Marley and Morgan both played so hard that they hurt their paw pads. Nothing big just minor wounds that I can guarantee they would do all over again for that much fun.

I recall crossing that bridge – many times – but don’t recall the place to park at the top and watch the ships pass underneath 🙂 Glad the dogs had their day at Grandpa’s DisneyFarm.
