And the verdict is?

Well after a little negotiation the three M’s (Marley, Morgan and Miles) may have a new home.  We got a counter from the seller that we in turn countered and low and behold you have a contract.  We have had a hard time dealing with our lack of excitement today.  That was in large part due to the way this process has unfolded and the fact that we’ve been intentionally been really closed off to any emotional attachment to this or any of our top 4 houses.  Having gone through the house hunt before and the potential emotional roller coaster it can involve I think we just want to be more guarded. Also we know that nothing is complete until you sign the closing paperwork so this is where my natural pragmatism weighs in full force.

We will be initiating the inspection hopefully tomorrow so if we can get that done early next week that is optimal.  We still have some concern about a house built in 1950 and what potential issues it might have as its being sold “as is” but if that goes fairly well we can move onto the next step. Keep your fingers crossed for us and that soon our furry friends will have a yard to romp in and Marley will finally have a pool to swim in.

Heather out by the pool (which has subsequently been cleaned and looks great), first order of business will be a fence

Very nice. Looks like Florida to me! M&M&M should be very happy. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Temps are in the 60 and up to 70 in the next week, and that’s altitude 60’s!

Glad to hear the house hunting appears to be coming to closure. Look forward to more details as things proceed. I’m trying to envision how the three M’s are going to react to the pool – assume there will be a carpet tile path for Miles, so he can at least dip a paw in. Best wishes.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed. It looks like a great place. If you can, you should try to have someone very familiar with pools to take a look at it. Unexpected pool problems can be pricey. Nice that you have a cute pool boy to take care of it though. That experience will come in handy.
