The inspiration for this blog came from what I can only describe as the sweetest gentlest dog in the entire world.  I know, I know everyone who owns a dog feels the same way.   The unique nature of Miles personalty comes from the fact he has been blind since he was at least 3 years old.  Miles has been a part of our family for 5 wonderful, heart wrenching and incredibly fulfilling years.

His ongoing perseverance and ability to to meet life’s challenges head on (literally and figuratively, more about that later) is what made me come up with this blog idea.  So this will be a journey describing not only what happens to Miles but also our other two dogs Marley (no we didn’t name him after the Grogan book he was already named when that was published) and Morgan.  All three dogs were rescued, Marley came from the Denver Dumb Friends League and Morgan and Miles came from Safe Harbor Lab Rescue.

Like most of us, all three dogs have their own unique baggage and experiences that have helped shape their unique personalities. Hopefully the most important thing to come from this is how our lives have been enriched by these dogs.
